They will increase top speed and make acceleration slower
Yes. If you put TALLER (width does not effect speed, only traction) tires on a vehicle it will increase your potential top speed, if you put SHORTER tires on a vehicle it will have a slower top speed. I say potential because if your vehicle does not have enough power, it will not be able to turn bigger tires at high speed. Also, a taller tire will lower your acceleration in most cases, and a shorter one will increase it, assuming you can maintain traction. Remember to have your speedometer calibrated if you get taller/shorter tires, otherwise it will not be accurate.
Depends on vehicle and proper size of tire (which you have chosen not to give )
There is written on the side of the tire, the maximum tire pressure you can inflate the tire to. But the proper pressure depends on what vehicle you install the tire on. Look on the driver's door post of the vehicle or in the owner's manual.
the 16 and 17 refer to the tires diameter hence a 17 is one inch taller than a 16 inch tire
yes. Typically you will see a 21 inch front tire and an 18 inch rear. The taller, skinnier, front tire is better for s
Minimum LEGAL tire tread depth is 2/32nds of an inch.
If you want to replace the current tires on your vehicle with a 17 inch tire you will have to have the proper rims for that tire. If you currently have rims for a 17 inch tire then you would not have to replace them but if your tire rims are smaller or larger then they would have to be replaced.
Yes, if camber is not right the tire will wear prematurely.
Taller tire sidewalls normally give a softer ride.
1.5mm or 2/32 inch.
That depends on the rim width and the vehicle it is installed on.
Tire wear, vehicle handling and gas mileage.
