its the greenhouse effect
The greenhouse effect.
The process by which earth's atmosphere traps heat is called the greenhouse effect :)
Because Venus is closer to the sun than Earth is, it receives more solar energy than Earth does. Much of this radiation is reflected by Venus's clouds, but some radiation reaches the surface and is later given off as heat. The carbon dioxide in Venus's atmosphere traps heat so well that Venus has the hottest surface among the planets. This trapping of heat by the atmosphere is called the greenhouse effect.
Clouds and the atmosphere.
It doesn't really "destroy the atmosphere", Carbon Dioxide traps solar radiation, if there is too much solar radiation being trapped, then the earth becomes much hotter, hence global warming.
Green house effect. Correct me if I'm wrong but i am pretty sure that is correct.
the answer is green house effect

Greenhouse effect
Causes the greenhouse effect.
The most important are water vapors.
Venus has a very thick carbon dioxide atmosphere, which traps the heat from the sun.
Venus has a dense atmosphere which consists almost entirely of carbon dioxide. This traps incoming solar radiation like a greenhouse effect that is totally out of control! As a result, the surface of Venus can reach temperatures of 465 deg C - more that enough to melt lead!
