Does the element Mg positively charged?

No isolated element is positively charged. However, in the presence of a nonmetal acceptor element, an atom of magnesium readily forms a positively charged ion by donating its two valence electrons to one or two nonmetal anions.

What is the difference between an element and its ion?

An element has it's protons balanced with electrons. The ion of an element is unbalanced: either positively charged if it lost an electron or negatively charged if it gained one.

If an element is missing one electron... is it a positive ion negative ion different element or different isotope?

If an element is missing one electron, which is defined as having a negative charge, then the element is a positively charged ion. If an element gains an extra electron, it will have a negative charge and be a negative ion. An element with an equal number of positively charged protons and negatively charged electrons is considered to be a neutral element (in other words, no charge). By the way, no charge for this answer!

A charged particle forms when an atom transfers electrons is an?

A charged particle that forms when an atom transfers electrons is an ion. An atom that loses an electron forms a positively charged ion called a cation; an atom that gains an electron forms a negatively charged ion called an anion.
