Sythetic elements are those with half lifes to small to be found in nature, they are manmade and generally fairly unstable.

The synthetic elements are:

All elements with atomic numbers 1 through 98 are naturally occurring at least in trace quantities, but the following elements are usually produced through synthesis. Except for francium, they were all discovered through synthesis before being found in nature.Element nameChemical

The following elements do not occur naturally on Earth. All are transuranium elements and have atomic numbers of 99 and higher.

Any element with atomic number 95 (Americium [Am]) or upwards is synthetic. A synthetic element is an element that was never or is no longer naturally occuring. All the currently synthesised elements are radioactive, but not all radioactive elements are synthesised.

A synthetic (or artificial) element is an element that is synthesised in a lab and is not naturally occuring. The synthetic elements start at Neptunium (Np) any are all synthetic from then on. The synthetic element with the highest atomic number currently confirmed by The IUPAC is Ununhexium (Uuh) which is still under it's IUPAC systematic placeholder name.

Why are synthetic elements dangerous?

While there are some stable synthetic elements (eg technetium) and also naturally occurring elements which are radioactively unstable (eg radium), synthetic elements are more likely to be radioactively unstable. Their decay process produces radioactive emissions which are hazardous.
