when you finish the game, it seems like there is nothing else to do in zelda. you can get a fishing rod from old wayfer if you catch the mergirl.
you could also get a swords man scroll if you go to the north east map and go to th travelers ship. one of the people will give you a guard notebook, and you bring it to the travelers ship on ht southwest seachart.

If you haven't found the phantom sword you need to find it. It is mandatory you find it to beat it. If you already have the phantom sword I'm not sure what else you must do. I can't remember where the phantom sword is but look it up on youtube "Where is the phantom sword?" you'll find an answer.
