-Pituitary Gland
All glands produce hormones, all hormones affect the nervous system. The nervous system influences all glands to release hormones, either by nerve impulses or hormones released by other glands. This question is a bit like answering the question "what came first, the chicken or the egg?......" If you meant what is the most important, then the brain has direct control of the pituitary gland, that is the master control of the body's endocrine system.
the other name for endocrine glands is DUCTLESSglands.these are also called as so bec they wont contain special ducts to carry their secretions to target organs.while exocrine glands such as pancreas except langerhans are ducted gland as they release these hormones into their ducts.so for endocrine glands BLOOD acts as a carrier organ for transfer of these hormones to target sites.hence these glands called as a ductless glands....
According to healthline.com, the pituitary gland is part of the endocrine system. It is a pea-sized structure located at the base of the brain. The pituitary gland produces hormones which control other glands as well as various bodily functions.
I think the student wanted to ask about the difference between an exocrine and endocrine gland but mistakened and wrote both the same. Exocrine gland differ from Endocrine gland because in case of exocrine glands ezymes are secreted by ducts carrying them to their site of actions but in case of endocrine hormones are secreted in body without ducts and are cariied by circulatory fluid of the organism.
Endocrine system which is formed of all endocrine glands of body which along with nervous system of body, controls and coordinates the body functions and maintains a homestasis inside the body. Thoughs different endocrine glands are different in embroynic origin and are isolated from one another but these interact with one another so collectively form an endocrine system. The secreation of endocrine glands are known as hormones like insulin which control blood sugar level.

Endocrine glands.
endocrine is not a hormone itself but the system that contains hormones and glands.
The organ system that consists of hormone-secreting glands, such as the pituitary gland and the thyroid gland, is known as the endocrine system. The endocrine system also consists of the following glands: pineal gland, pancreas, ovaries, testes, parathyroid gland, hypothalamus and adrenal glands.
Endocrine Glands are a type of ductless organ that produce hormones
The endocrine system is primarily composed of glands and hormones.
The adrenal glands belong to the endocrine organ system. This system is comprised of different glands in the body including (but not limited to) the thyroid gland, the parathyroid glands, the adrenal glands, the pituitary gland, the gonads as well as the pancreas. The adrenal glands are located on top of each kidney, deep in the abdomen.
Endocrine glands secrete directly into the blood. Exocrine glands secrete through ducts onto an organ surface.
Endocrine glands are glands of the endocrine system that secrete their products, hormones, directly into the blood rather than through a duct. The main endocrine glands include the pituitary gland, pancreas, ovaries, testes, thyroid gland, and adrenal glands. The hypothalamus is a neuroendocrine organ. Other organs which are not so well known for their endocrine activity include the stomach, which produces such hormones as ghrelin.
The brain controls water balance, body temperature, and the endocrine system.
Sudoriferous glands, or sweat glands, are part of the endocrine system.
