No. Frame number and engine number are two differrnt things )
check the vin number on the engine does it match the caar if so original motor
the engines serial number should match that of the cars
if you a putting in a bigger engine the you will need the gear box aswell
the engine number will no longer match what the i.d tag has stamped into it ^ Well stated and cannot be explained in better detail... THumbs up
No, it needs to be the correct part number. The year and engine size have to match.
Get under the engine bay and uses a flashlight to find the VIN. The VIN stamp will vary from vehicle to vehicle, but will be mounted somewhere on the engine block. Some older vehicles will contain a serial number instead of a VIN. Match up the VIN from the engine block to the VIN on the vehicle. If the engine block has a serial number instead of a VIN then contact the manufacture dealer to see what serial number the original engine block had. .
according to cricinfo. The last match was England vs West Indies, and they have numbered that as ODI #2851. http://www.cricinfo.com/ci/engine/match/380716.html
Those numbers do not match any Ford engine. 302 engines were not available in a Windsor or Cleveland, only in a 351.
