the block & heads are the same you just have to pull the 305 out & put the 350 back in
Heads off a 454 engine will not fit a 305 engine A 454 is a big block and a 305 is a small block. Even if they did fit it would probably run poorly due to low compression because the combustion chambers on the the 454 heads are larger than the ones on the 305 heads
No. The 350 has bigger valves. While you CAN put the 305 heads on the 350, (I can't imagine why you would actually want to) you can NOT put the 350 heads on the 305. Because of the 305's small bore, the valves on the 350 heads will hit the cylinder block.
Yes they will, But you will have to drill the 4 center bolt holes out in the 88 intake to make it bolt up to the 305 heads. I don't no why anyone would want to put 305 heads on a 350 engine, The 350 will never run like it did before.
305 heads work on a 350 engine
They can if the heads are cracked ,are the intake manifold gaskets were put on wrong when thay were installed. The heads themselves if thay are good heads will not cause overheating. You cannot put the head gaskets on wrong on a small block Chevy engine.
Yes you can.
In the cylinder heads.

Yes, and well.
take them to a machine shop
Your question is a little vague, so im assuming you're asking which is better between 350 and 305 heads. Many people will tell you it doesnt matter. I think if you have a 350 engine then you should use 350 heads. the 305 heads will have higher compression, which will make the car louder, and somewhat faster, however, if you use 305 heads on a 350 engine then you should use a high octane fuel, so it will be better on your engine. Only use 305 heads if you know what your doing. if not you should probably stick with 350 heads. i hope that answered your question.
