Yes. Rock formed in the Mesozoic just like they did at all times in earth's history.
That was Pangea (from the Greek for Entire Earth). It was surrounded by Panthallasa (Greek for Entire Sea).
As earth formed, most planetesimals were attracted by the earth's gravity and coalesced with earth.

I think moons formed like this: rocks floating around space all joined together to make a moon. Interesting theory but that is simply how you believe it formed. I am wondering what era it formed in, regardless of how they formed.(: Oh, well, probably before the earth was made.

A new earth is formed every twelve years or so. This started in the paleazoic era in which Isaac Newton discovered the rotation of mercury. Upon this discovery, scientists found that basing the sun rays off of the mountain line of the rockies that a new earth can be formed every twelve years.
I believe it is in the Cenozoic Era because they were formed in the last ice age which was during this era.
