You can only get it through a special event.
There are events for Pokemon Diamond/Pearl in Australia. They mostly occur in target or toys 'r' us stores nationwide. I know this because today there was an event it was to get Darkrai. I went and got it but you have to have a mystery gift. I found at about this event by going to Nintendo.com.au it really helped me it says news & events at the bottom of it. Just click on what you want to see & it will tell you what you have to do to get the Pokemon. The Darkrai event ends on the 9th of November 2008 so go in to your local target or toys r us store & receive your Darkrai. The Darkrai is level 50 Comes in a cherish ball Moves are: Nightmare, Hypnosis, Spacial rend & roar of time It holds an enigma berry Hope this information was helpful to all the Aussie's wanting a fair go with their Pokemon Diamond/Pearl game.
Today, actually. They gave away one of the legendary trios.

Do you live in the UK?If so, check Game.co.uk, they have a Shaymin event going on currently. I went today, they had battles with Pokéfans and "Ash" himself. [Not really, some guy dressed up!]+ Balloons and some Pokémon merchandise. It was pretty good, and it's definitely worth going if you live in the UK.If not, then there was a Darkrai + Shaymin event in the US going on, which you've just missed!I cannot give you any more advice, but I hope this has helped!
Shaymin, Darkrai, and Arceus are event-only Pokemon which an Action Replay is required to catch them today or you can trade for them with a close friend.
Celebi is a very difficult legendary to obtain. It happens to be the rarest and most events were held in Japan only. In Pokemon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum, you'll need to transfer Celebi from either Pokemon Sapphire, Ruby, Emerald, FireRed, or LeafGreen. For the Generation III games, you could get a Japanese bonus disc for Pokemon Colosseum and link your GBA to the Gamecube to get your Celebi. The disc is rare and possibly pricey today.
