What led Hitler to commiting suicide?

As the war turned against the Nazis it became evident even to the arrogant Hitler that they were about to lose. He probably couldn't face the shame of what he had done and what would obviously have come out during the war trials.

Plus there seems to be some suggestion that Hitler had picked up syphilis from his girlfriend Eva Braun. Syphilis left untreated results in paresis which causes CNS problems, including paranoia and depression.

The official version came from the claim by the Russians that Hitler and his wife, Eva Braun committed suicide and later burned. However, there are gaps in the forensic evidence collected and investigated at the time. The loss of the war and the dream for an Aryan nation could have been enough for someone to commit suicide. However, in most cases, you never know.

In 2014 documents were declassified concerning Hitler and if they are to be believed he didn't commit suicide, but escaped. The last time he was seen alive was April 21, 1945. The Russian army was moving towards his bunker. On the morning of April 22, 1945 9 Nazi planes left Temple Hoff airport near his bunker. A manafest of one plane shows it contained Hitlers personal property. When the Russian army arrived in the bunker they found a burned body in a carpet and it couldn't be identified as Hitler. They took some bones and kept them. In 1989 when the Berlin Wall came down tests were finally done in Russia on the bones collected in 1945. The DNA tests show that the bones were of a female, not male. If you would like to hear more on this the History channel had a program this fall called HUNTING HITLER. I watched it am now convinced he escaped and went to South America where there were German support and areas controlled by Germans. It is worth considering and a fantastic story of little known history.
