not much because Germany it was not just germany who started the war a short term cause was th assasination of the soon to be duke of the austro-bulgarian empire which ruled over Serbia and serbian terrists killed him and his wife sofia who was pregnant at the time.germany just wanted to join in and had an excuse to fight.
