There were many different kinds of life such as reptilian (dinosaur) Cavemen(men) and Birds. There is lots of evidence, with todays technology we can tell how old a dinosaur painting is, how smart man was, and even if aliens were a factor in the creation of todays society and possibly if the Mayans were helped or given message by aliens. Since the Mayans calendar has been correct so far scientist are thinking over and over again about possibilities and clues. The Mayans didn't just pull a calendar out of their pocket and say oh here's the future. NO! some type of highly complex civilization needed to help them to discover and build the "man made" mile high pyramids and humongous monuments that "they" built.

How many years ago did life begin in the Ocean?

3.5 billion years ago is the oldest direct evidence for life on Earth. Direct evidence is found in 3.5-billion-year-old cherts (rocks deposited in the ocean) in which several microorganisms have been identified. These microogranisms are much like cyanobacteria which is found in abundance throughout the Earth today. 3.8 billion years ago is the oldest indirect evidence for life on Earth. Indirect evidence is found in 3.8-billion-year-old banded iron deposits (chert) which contain a Carbon 13 to Carbon 14 ratios similar to ratios found in organisms today.

When was the first evidence of life?

Is Atlantis real where mermaids live?

No, both are myths. Atlantis "may" have existed, but no solid historical evidence has been found to support the story. If there was anything like Atlantis it was probably just a coastal community that was destroyed by a tsunami. Mermaids are from Greek and Celtic myths and have never existed. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has issued a statement stating that mermaids don't exist.

What evidence do you have that the diprotodon existed?

A great deal of fossil evidence exists to show that the Diprotodon existed. Diprotodon (giant wombat) fossils are found throughout outback Australia. They have most commonly been found in the Darling Downs in southern Queensland; inland areas of New South Wales such as the Wellington Caves, Tambar Springs and Cuddie Springs; Bacchus Marsh in southern Victoria; and eastern parts of South Australia such as the Naracoorte Caves and Burra, and on King Island. Hundreds have been found in Lake Callabonna in South Australia, from animals apparently trapped in mud. There is also evidence that Diprotodons co-existed with the Australian Aborigines.
