From the Garden State Parkway, Scotch Plains can be reached either by taking Exit 135 (CR-613 - Central Avenue to Westfield & Clark), Exit 137 (NJ-28 to Garwood, Cranford, & Roselle), or Exit 139 Northbound/Exit 140 Southbound (US-22 WEST to Mountainside & Springfield). The easiest of the three to get into Scotch Plains is Exit 137, which you would take west towards Cranford and Garwood. Signs will tell when you're in Scotch Plains (it's after going through Westfield).

According to an e-mail from the New Jersey Turnpike Authority, which oversees the Garden State Parkway, dollar coins are accepted in the Parkway's exact change lanes.
