Primarily because of the Axis-powers' screw ups. Japan bombing us, that was one big fatal mistake. The Battle of Britain was also a really crippling blow to the Axis-powers. The Battle of Stalingrad delivered a crippling blow like no other to the Axis forces attempting to take over Russia, which the Axis guys really never recovered from at all.

The Battle of Philippine Sea was the blow that finally convinced Japan that World War 2 was not winnable. We, the U.S., hadn't recovered fully, but still knew how to launch surprise attacks, with the battle being the one that landed a blow crippling enough to permanently halt the Japanese offense in the Pacific.

The Majority of World Historians & Military experts say the main factors were..Britain winning the Battle of Britain

Britain cracking the Engima code

Hitler making the mistake of invading Russia

American supply of weapons & ammuntion to the British

British supplies of food to the Russians in Stalingrad

Hitler shooting himself in the head ( ok so i added this last bit about Hitler but its true lol)

AnswerBritish tenacity, Chinese and Russian manpower and American industrial capacity.
The Allied Forces practice the concept of bring in a big force, lots of firepower, and make it impossible for the enemy to wage war. It reminds me of Teddy Roosevelt's concept of speak softly and carry a big stick. Well, that is what the Allies did. They remained quiet, planned Behind the Scenes and brought out their big sticks to whop the Japanese and the Nazis. They used deception tactics brilliantly too. As far as the Nazis were concerned Adolph Hitler lost the war for them.

WOW

Short question and huge number of possible answers.

The two main factors that lead to the Axis defeat.:

  1. The allies including Russia had larger populations to draw on for soldiers
  2. The allies including Russia had larger production capacity of war machines.

So what happened was Hitler over stepped by invading Russia to soon, this caused him to loose the war much quicker or The Axis powers may not have been defeated at all.

Attrition! Germany was running out of men; when America entered the war in 1917 the manpower pool became endless...Germany called it quits.

Because the Allies were on the opposing side; the Allies didn't agree with what was happening in Europe. America only joined the Allies after Pearl Harbor, which was caused by Japan. Japan was a member of the Axis, and thus an ally of Germany. The Allies (especially Britain, during the Battle of Britain), proved that they weren't going to let Hitler achieve his plans.
