Strickland WS? Lol...but the advancement in technology contributed greatly to how well a society's political structures worked. For example Greece was extremely advanced in technplogy for their time, they were also the inventors of direct democracy which was a very efficient way for figuring political issues. Meaning other less technologically advanced civilizations probably had less effective political structures/forms of government. Basically the greater minds (philosophers of Greece = Minds) the more effective type of government a society will possess.
