There are three main inhibitars of the brain that is related to your question in which enhance early human development.

intraparietal sulcus (IPS) deals with math.

It is now belived that east asians are good at math because their language involves mathamatics. So it is very important to teach a kid at a young age about mathematical equations, and to think in logical patters(X is Y, Y is Z therefore X is Z) and introduce them to Algebra at an early age.

The left temporal lobe deals with language. So it is important to either speak to your kid in a foreign language along with English at an early age. If you teach your kid a romance language ( i,e Spanish) then it will be easier for them to learn another Romance language later on in life ( i,e French.) It would also be a smart idea to let your kid watch a television show for an hour a day.

The whole right side of the brain is used in General logic, comphersion, ideas art, Social Sciences etc. This part of the brain is mostly used by kids early on, whether it be from television to general ideas given to them etc. This is why social science classes are so easy for kids later on in life such as Sociology, History etc.

It is disputed whether we actually LOOSE brain cells when we get older, but it is widley accepted we stop creating NEW brain cells around the time we hit puberty. This is believed to be the reason why kids pick up stuff so easily. So if your older like me you learn stuff the old fashion way( thru memory and general logic.)
