the older ones are made out of granite. people dnt use granite much anymore.
The city's buildings are made of granite.
Taj Mahal is definitely one of the buildings. It is constructed mostly (if not entirely) out of pure white marble. But I think there are several. Probably the Lincoln Memorial is another. If you look up Aberdeen, Scotland, you will find that it is called the Granite city because many houses and buildings are made of granite.

Granite can be made into any shape! For example, If it came from nature, It would look really rocky because of erosion. There is no exact shape for a granite. Buildings are sometime made of granite.
The only granite used was for decoration purposes. The buildings were made primarily out of Concrete, Steel, with thick glass windows.

Buildings can be made out of any of them. A lot of buildings are made from sandstones, they should be fairly easy to recognise as they will always have a relatively fine granular texture and very few large crystals. There are a lot of buildings made from granite (although a lot of "granite" actually isn't but will still be igneous) look for buildings with an obviously distinguishable patchwork texture of largish crystals. The most obvious building build from metamorphic rocks is the Taj Mahal in India
