Fats, also known as lipids, are used for many different
functions in the body. One way a fat is used is the most common
use-energy storage. Any energy that your body does not need to
break the bonds of, is automatically stored in different parts of
the body as fat. Fats (lipids) are also what help make up the cell
membranes on most of the cells and tissues in your body. The use of
fats in the body is indispensable just like many other things like
nutrients, proteins, carbohydrates, etc.
