The Confederate constitution had one feature that political scientists believe is one feature that deserves close consideration either for state governors or even the US presidency. That feature limited the term of the Confederate president a single six year term. No chances for serving one term was allowed. The positive feature of this concept was that a sitting president did not have to spend valuable time of the people , campaigning for reelection. This is not without fault but the US' current 2 term restriction has faults of its own.
