Soft Power
Power management is used mostly for laptops, that when using battery the laptop usually will go into a power mode that allows it to conserve energy.
The first thing I would try is to hold down the menu button for 15 seconds. This should work but if it doesn't then try this: * Turn the computer and monitor off * Disconnect all monitor cabling from the monitor (power, USB, VGA, DVI, etc.) * Press and hold in the monitor power button in for 5 seconds * Reconnect the monitor to the computer * Reconnect the monitor power cord to the monitor * Turn on the monitor, then the computer * Press the Menu button for 15 seconds to unlock the padlock feature
That would be the automatic feature that helps save power, or your electricity went out.

The monitor is not powered by the computer. If there is not Signal to the monitor from the computer there will be no display, however the power to a monitor is supplied by a separate cord from the outlet to the monitor.
Turn on computer power management. Allow monitor and hard drive to power off after 15 minutes of inactivity. Allow computer to go into sleep or hibernate mode after 30 minutes of inactivity.
Try a monitor reset. Unplug the monitor and hold down the monitor's power button for 30-30 seconds. Plug the monitor back in and power it up. If that doesn't work then go into the monitor's menu and do a factory reset.
