Windows Explorer is the file management application in Windows. Windows Explorer can be used to navigate your hard drive and display the contents of the folders and subfolders you use to organize your files on your hard drive.
To modify a file on a database management software, open up your file explorer on computer (I.E. Windows Explorer) then go to the place where you saved the file. Go to the search bar and search the title of the file. Open it and then modify as you wish.
You use My Computer & Windows Explorer to browse the file system on a drive in Windows XP.
The file browser in Windows is called, Explorer (explorer.exe).

Windows Explorer allows you to view file characteristics. To access this, click on All Programs, Accessories, Windows Explorer. This brings up a menu of files. Right click on the file you would like, and click on properties to view file characteristics.
