No, if you want to do this get free RAR Extract Frog. Extract the files. The file you put on your R4 is the .nds file. Hope this helps!
Mp3 does and photo's also... You CAN run games from it, but THAT is illegal so i won't recommend it
u go to the r4 website (go to google type in site r4 ds) then go to downloads and select the files u want to download
R4 Carts are compatible with .dpg files. The cart will need to have the moonshell folders installed. A good media conversion program (does avi to dpg) can be found by searching 'Super NDS media' in google. On the R4 cart create a folder within the _system_ directory calling it movies and save the .dpg files into that folder. When running the moonshell on the DS you can then browse the folder and play the files.
Go to Computers then click on the R4 folder (to view files) and just cut or copy files that you want to have and simply paste them in to the folder and just X out and take the R4 out. It's easy.
never. ever. it cannot support the file and it would be too big a file to fit on your micro sd. i have tried a long movie on my R4 but it was like 800 mb. Even if there was a hombrew that could support, way too big. So never. Unless you can get someone to make a shrinker which shrinks files it works with some files just not movies and picture and games though. By Mitchell of Sydney, Australia
no not unless u hack the files that run the r4 firmware (which would be v hard)
You need a micro SD card r4 card and a Nintendo also a usb adapter.
These are the main disadvantages to the R4: * There will be no more updates; The official R4 team disappeared. * As a result, the R4 isn't being produced much, supply is running out. * The R4 does not support SDHC MicroSD cards (it supports up to 2GB)
It is very easy. Just download a new r4 skin, unzip the patch, and copy all files to the TF card. The it is ok.
The deleted files are from the MicroSD card, not the R4. You can use some Data Recovery programs, which might be able to recover whatever you deleted, but you are better off copying the files from your computer again (if you have a backup, or can redownload it)
to use the r4 card, you also need a MicroSD card, which is used for game and r4 kernel loading. 1. download the latest r4 kernel from official website, it is a zipped patch. 2. Unzip the patch, you can get several files. 3. Copy all files to the root directory of the MicroSD card. 4. Download some games, unzip it, and put them to the root directory of the MicroSD card. Insert the MicroSD card into the r4 card, and put r4 card into the console, then you can start to play games.
you can just download the wood firmware and and empty your sd card and drag the wood firmware on there. 1. Download the latest wood r4 kernel to the computer. 2. Unzip the patch into some files. 3. Connect the TF card to computer through a USB reader. 4. Copy all files to the root directory of the TF card. Wood r4 installation finished.
All r4 3ds cards can directly support dsi console. No need to do anything. Just insert the r4 3ds card into the dsi console, it can be read.
