While there may be a few vocational schools that don't ask for a high school diploma, nearly every college and university that offers film courses requires either an actual diploma or a GED (General Equivalency Diploma, which can be obtained by attending night school). If you want to study film, you will definitely need to get your high school diploma or your GED.
If you have already dropped out, you may want to try to get some kind of entry-level job in the film industry or in some occupation related to film, while you go back and take the courses necessary to complete your high school diploma. Many people who dropped out have gone back and completed their education; these days, it is not unusual to do that.

If you only want to study 'telling stories on film', and can pay for your studies, you may be able to find a 'film school' that meets your requirements. New York, Los Angeles, Vancouver, BC and Seattle are all homes to a 'film school'. Before applying and sending in your deposit, do your homework to verify that this 'school' offers you the education and experience that you want.
These are all private enterprises and offer no accredited certification, but do have mostly respectable reputations within the industry, depending on what else you offer in terms of talent and skill that you can bring to a project.
Get a G E D dont be lazy then go to a decent school.
Yes they go to school , but i dont know anything about a diploma
Unfortunetly, Yes. If you dont have a diploma you can't have a good job.
No they do not, the catholic schools dont have school on veterans day.
u dont get them in some schools but it depends what school u go to
no they dont because schools did not exist
You dont need to pay for public schools but for private schools you have to pay and ask the school you want to study (prices changes a lot from school to school).
Yes and no, it doesn't say it offers a GED it says it gives you a diploma. The catch is is doesn't say what its a diploma to, therefore they can say that. I could say you get could a diploma from me and it would be legit, the reason is becasue it doesn't mean anything it dont say what its a diploma to.... Its not a GED but its a diploma for doing nothing other than giving 200 bucks to a trick. dont buy!

As highlighted by the American Academy, statistics show that more than 60% of job opportunities in the skilled labor force require a high school diploma. There are also a number of employers who will not even consider hiring a candidate that did not graduate high school. Therefore not only is a high school diploma and education important, but absolutely necessary in this downturned economy.
