I think what you're referring to is when Jem says something along the lines of (I don't think this is the exact wording,) : "I swear Scout, you're starting to act like a girl more every day!"

Scout is an obvious tomboy, who likes to adventure along with her big brother, and refusing to go along with the "dangerous and daring" plan would hint at a girly response.
