It depends on the locality. There are a number of different firearms that police in different cities and the administrators in each city's police department decide what guns they want officer to carry. As far as handguns go, in the U.S. Glock and Sig have a pretty large percentage of the market.

∙ 12y agoIt depends. Each department can carry whatever the chiefs decide they want. Most departments in the U.S. carry carry Glocks, but not all. Beretta and Sig Sauer has a large part of the market also, and then H&K, Smith and Wesson, and a few others make up the rest.
