One of the easiest/least demanding egg layer fish to breed is the zebra danio. You will still need to do things right though by getting the fish into breeding condition and providing a suitably laid out tank for them to spawn in. Other fish that are not very demanding to breed are many of the Barbs such as the Ruby, smaller Anabantids including Bettas and dwarf Gouramie and several of the dwarf Cichlids like Rams. The hardest thing is always rearing the youngsters successfully.
