The number of large birds is declining except for pheasant, partridge, and red grouse which are protected for sport. With reclimation of marshlands Waterfowl are moving into bird sanctuaries.

Insects: 21,847 bugs inhabit England the most common is the Caddisfly.

Fish: The rivers and lakes abound in salmon, trout, perch, pike, roach, dace, and grayling.
