I have a 70's Wheel Horse with hydro and it takes 10w-30 motor oil.
sa e30
My 2018 is hydrostatic and it has a small pin in the back that shifts it into neutral and will disengage the transmission to make it free wheel. Hope this helps

Generally not recommended for front wheel drive cars, even with a manual transmission.
Would not do this. Even with a manual transmission, flat towing a front wheel drive car is NOT recommended.
sure you can tow anything..if it is done correctly. 2 and 4 wheel drive manual transmission can be flat towed... not recommended for safety but yes it can be. 2 wheel drive automatic transmission must be towed with drive wheels off the ground, four wheel drive automatic transmission all wheel need to be off ground ( flat bed or dolly.

Can it be done? Sure. Should it be done? Absolutely not - you'll destroy your transmission, and flat towing a front-wheel drive vehicle is never a recommended practice, even with a manual transmission.
The transmission is the same.
Wheel Horse made a "Challenger" mower try searching Wheel Horse. Also Wheel Horse is now owned by Toro.
The ONLY 2 years that will work is 96 and 97 4L60E transmission. If it is a 4-wheel drive then it must be a 4-wheel drive transmission. If it is a 2-wheel drive then it must be a 2-wheel drive transmission. 2 wheel and 4 wheel drive transmissions will not interchange.
Brake horse power is power of engine or motor.Rear wheel hp is taken at rear wheels. There will be a small decrease from engine hp.There is a "loss"of hp as the "power"is transmited from engine to the transmission to differential to axle to tires. Anything that "turns" reduces the available power to the tires.......
