'Galleon' is a noun for a large sailing ship. However, 'galleon' is not a classical Latin word. Rather, 'galleon' comes from Spanish and French, which are Romance languages descended from Latin. 'Carabus' and 'navis' would be an approximate Latin synonyms for 'galleon', but a galleon is a large ship whereas a carabus is a small boat, but 'navis' can be used to denote various types of boats or ships.
