Hamsters are desert animals, and so they usually eat dry foods, like, nuts, seeds and occasionally dried fruit. But, Since they do live in the deserts, it has been know for them to eat their own kind in the wild, and sometimes in a cage, cause when you live in the desert where there really isn't that much food, you don't let anything go to waste. If you were wondering what to feed your hamster, I would just give it seeds, and nuts, and dried fruit for treats.
