Rice is a predominant staple as well. However, Peru is very regionalized with coastal towns, jungles and mountainous regions. You will find areas that serve Alpaca, grains and tropical fruits. The diversity is wide. Many moder cities also have western fare, so you could expect to see Burger King type fast food restaurants alongside locally owned rustic establishments.
