What is the size of the buoyant force acting on an object?
The buoyant force is equal to the weight of the water displaced. Buoyant force = [density of water] x [volume displaced] x [gravity] Imagine you had a box of water that is itself under water. The forces would of course be balanced. This means that whatever the force of gravity would be on a box of water that size, that's what the buoyant force must be.

Can you convert a gas stove to an electric stove?
It is possible to convert a gas stove to an electrical stove. Not only would you need to wire the stove for electricity but you would need to have a metal worker create metal bases for the electrical elements and also arrange for some insulation. It would be more expensive than simply purchasing an electric stove. Unless the gas stove has some special design that fits in with the decor, the project would not be worthwhile.

Asked in Cleaning, Wood-Burning Stoves
How do you clean the outside of a wood-burning stove?
For normal cleaning of a cast iron stove, I would use stove black and follow the instructions. Stove black is available online or at hardware stores. If the stove is enameled, I would clean with a small amount of soap and water, and wipe with a sponge to remove soap residue. If the stove has something on it, such as paint, melted plastic, or such, then you have a problem that really requires some thought and consideration for what the mess is. I would try to avoid the use of sand paper on a cast iron stove. Dry sanding will put iron dust into the air. I would also avoid the use of most oils, unless they are specifically recommended for wood stoves.
