The future of forensic science is looking very bright as new doors open every day in the advancement of criminal investigations with forensic science. Just 25 years ago DNA was unable to be used to find a killer. For evidence of this just watch THE CAPTURE OF THE GREEN RIVER KILLER. In this movie, you learn about a killer in a small town that killed about 20 prostitutes in a small town in the early 80s. When the crimes are first commited DNA evidence can be gathered but they are unable to use it to find the murderer. In the late 90s, they learn of the new technique and send frozen samples in to use for this technique. Even though they are years old, the samples provide the much needed evidence to capture the killer that thought he had gotten away with this.
In switch language, open means to disconnect, or break the circuit. Some people call this "turned off". Closed, is to connect, or make the circuit. Some people call this turned on. In the case of a normally open switch, the switch is open (off) unless something takes action on the switch. Pushes a button for example, or holds a magnet near the switch, or other active force. A normally closed switch is closed (on) unless some force causes the switch to be opened.

There are open circulatory systems and there are closed circulatory systems. In the open systems found in insects and invertebrates the fluid which carries the blood does not remain within any vessels but rather it bathes the cells of the organs thus transfering the nutrients. In a closed system the blood remains within blood vessels like in the case with humans and the nutrients are diffused out of these vessels to the cells of the organs.

A trustee can keep a case open anywhere from several months to several years if they discover assets. They are allowed time to collect the assets and then sell them. After that, they will notify and distribute the money to the creditors.
if you have found new clue it is worth re-opening a case. But the big Question is what new techniques do the have?
Reopening a cold case from 20 years ago may be worth it if there is new credible evidence, advancements in forensic technology that could aid in solving the case, or if a new witness comes forward with relevant information that was not previously known. Additionally, if there is reason to believe that the case is connected to other incidents or if there is potential for bringing closure to the victim's family, reopening the case may be warranted.
