It can be... depends on if the person is yelling at you or just about something that angered them. Well it really depends on what is coming out of your mouth when you yell. If you are yelling profanities then yes. And the reason for yelling and frequency is also a factor. If it is for no reason or if you are blowing up over something small then I believe it is verbal abuse. Also if you are belittling the person while yelling.

∙ 7y agoYes, of course it is! It makes them feel smaller and less worthwhile. You are the role model in their life, don't ruin it. They learn from you! Also, verbal abuse is harder to heal than most physical abuse.
Answer2. Oh yes, and actually verbal and emotional abuse is just another form of violence yes domestic violence. This sets a bad example and is mentally and emotionally damaging to your children. What kind of adults do you think they will turn out to be if you keep this up? You may live to regret what you do and not be very proud of who they become.

∙ 7y agoDepending upon the situation, and whether you deserve to be yelled or not, if it is done on a regular basis then perhaps it is. You need to enquire of your local police department to determine the status of your complaint.
Answer2. Verbal abuse is another form of violence just like physical abuse. You DO NOT have to tolerate this. You do not say what is provoking the yelling, but make sure you try to have a calm talk with your neighbor to pursue peace and that you are an adult and will be courteous, but that you demand respect. If that does not work, by all means speak to the police.
