ATP
Cellular respiration sometimes is referred to as aerobic respiration, meaning that it occurs in the presence of oxygen, and is not an anaerobic process. Glycolysis is one of the processes in cellular respiration. In the final steps of glycolysis, two hydrogen atoms are removed from each three-carbon compound by bonding to free-floating oxygen atoms in the cytoplasm to form water.
does respiration provides energy for cells without using oxygen
It is Respiration
Oxygen is essential for aerobic cellular respiration, the process by which cells get energy from food. If we are deprived of oxygen, aerobic respiration will cease, and we will not be able to get enough energy to survive.
Fermentation normally occurs in an the absence of oxygen (called anaerobic) but is can occur in its presence
According to Biologists, cellular respiration forms an energy source when respiration occurs in the presence of oxygen. Also, this creates aerobic and metabolic respiration.
Oxygen. O2.
Cellular respiration can be anaerobic (without oxygen) or aerobic (occurs in the presence of oxygen).
Because cellular respiration occurs in the presence of oxygen.
Aerobic Respiration is a respiration of a bacteria with oxygen. Glucose + Oxygen --> Energy + Water + Carbon Dioxide Anaerobic Respiration is a respiration of a bacteria without the presence of oxygen. Aerobic cellular respiration occurs in the presence of oxygen and anaerobic cellular respiration occurs in the absence of oxygen. Without the presence of oxygen, cellular respiration cannot go past Glycolysis (the first step of cellular respiration) and will be forced to find an alternative route which is, fermentation. Hope this helped.
cellular respiration
anaerobic respiration
Generally it will occur in the presence of oxygen, which is aerobic respiration, but there are other times where no oxygen will be present and cellular respiration will occur anaerobically (fermentation). Aerobic respiration is more beneficial because you produce more ATP than anaerobically.
Cellular respiration is the process by which cells produce energy (in the form of ATP) from food (glucose) in the presence of oxygen.
it can produce energy in the presence and absence of oxygen unlike aerobic exercise which can only produce energy in the presence of oxygen
