Lyman is currently only producing the #2 tang sight, which is not designed for the Winchester 9422. Marble's makes a tang sight for the Winchester 9422. The LR version requires the 009812 sight and the 9422 Magnum requires the 009837 sight. sales@countrygunsmith.net
I would go to the Williams gun sight company. They should have a chart that will answer your question for you.
According to records at Winchester, there is no information available for a Model 90. They did produce a Model 92 which fits that serial number. Records indicate that serial number was manufactured between 1906 and 1907.
I believe your answer lies with a qualified gunsmith. If you take it to him or call he will be able to get you the answer you seek safely.
The male end should point up or out. So the female end fits on the stove and thereafter the male end terminates the run.
It depends on what kind of camp and what you will be doing. If it is a camp where they will be teaching rock climbing or another type of sport that requires head protection then they probably supply the necessary safety gear. Usually they will tell you what you need to bring. There is most often a phone number that you can call for the camp if you have any questions. If you have your own helmet for that particular sport then I would say to bring it. If it already fits your head then you don't have to settle for a loose fitting or too tight helmet that can be dangerous. I would call the camp.
Just about all stoves comes in standard sizes. However some people are able to special order stoves and they are able to specify the sizes. However those are very rare
I would bet this is a custom set up, something done by one of the previous owners. Winchester was big on catering to customers, and their custom shop turned out a lot of unique options, but without some sort of documentation, nobody will believe it was a factory set-up. You can try contacting Winchester directly. They may be able to get you pointed in the right direction.
