What is the reason why the brake lights won't work but the turn signal lights do work on a 1995 suburban?

because the power comes from another source. the brakes have a switch located on the pedle that feeds the brake lights the signals are feed by there switch.J.R. Your light bulb's probably burnt out. Just take off the cover and screw a new one in there. Or you could have a short. If changing the bulb doesn't work, have an electrician take a look at it.

Brake lights on a 2002 Gran Prix not working but the the one in the back glass is you replaced bulbs but the brake lights still do not work Would it be the brake light switch?

Nonfunctional LightsI'm not familiar with your 2002 Gran Prix, but the problem you describe is universal to all vehicles. The fact that the "third" brake light [in the rear window package tray] IS WORKING, indicates that the brake light switch IS WORKING properly!!!!!That suggests that the reason that the other two brake lights are not working is that there is an "open" condition in the wiring circuit to the other two brake lights. This is confirmed by the fact you replaced the lamps [bulbs] in those other lamp holders with known good lamps. There could be several causes for an open circuit, but the most common include:One of the connector plugs in the wiring harness to the brake lights has become disconnected, orCorrosion has built up inside of one of the connectors [one that feeds both brake lights, which will be in the circuit "ahead" [upstream] of where the wiring harness "splits" off between the two brake lights].Very remote is the possibility that the ground wires on both light assemblies has been disconnected, cut, or corroded.

When a home circuit breaker opens the lights in some rooms go off but the lights in some rooms stay on. Explain why.?

The circuit breakers in a panelboard feed separate circuits. The lights that stay on are on a different circuit than the ones that go off. To fine the circuit that feeds the lights that stay on, go to the panelboard and turn off the breakers one by one until the lights go out. This is the circuit that feeds that circuit of lights. Remember that lights and receptacles can be on the same circuit together.

What fuse feeds the brake lights in a 2000 Malibu?

check your brake light switch,at the brake pedal on top of pedal arm. Open the driver's door on your 2000 Chevy Malibu and locate the access panel for the left-side fuse block--it's on the end of the instrument panel. Locate the fuse for your taillights in the fuse block. Chevy labeled the fuse as "stop lps" it is on the bottom row towards the front of car, good-day !

Headlites work but no tail litess or dash lites so i changed all the fuses found out both license plate lites are corroded blown and removed and all parking lights and dash lights dont work Ideas?

Check your headlight switch. You might have a bad switch (fairly common). There are two circuits that go to the headlight switch. One wire feeds the headlights and another one that is fused feeds the taillights. Another wire comes off the headlight swtich and feeds the dash lights usually with a 5 amp fuse. If you lose the tail lights, the dash lights won't work either.
