All depends on preference.
If you prefer team-work style gameplay, then you might want Battlefield. If you like working alone (even though you're on a team) then you might like Call of Duty.
Counter Strike and Doom are both classic first-person shooter games. If you are interested in playing something a little more updated, you might try Call of Duty, Medal of Honor, or Battlefield 1942.
They are both mainly Multiplayer games, so i think the best by far is Battlefield Bad Company 2. I think other people will agree with me on that.
Both games are different to play. MW3 is more a one-person, running shooter where no vehicles can be driven. Battlefield 3 is more team work and you can drive vehicles.
FPS is a meaning of 2. First-person shooter or Frames Per Second. First-person shooter is the type of game. The games Call of duty, Battlefield, Halo and many more shooting games. Frames per second is what frame rate the game will run at. If you are a PC gamer, this option can be changed, the option you have is either 30-60fsp. 60 is the best frame rate, therefore will run faster and better. Most games on the console will run at 30 fps.
There are a lot of first person shooter games in the US.
In terms of combat the Xbox 360 has many first person shooter games such as Medal of Honor Warfighter, Battlefield 3 and the Call of Duty series. There are also fighting combat games such as Mortal Combat.
Neither, because you cannot get any level of control with joysticks.
A lot
For the Xbox 360, it would be Halo 3 and Call of Duty 4, no challenge there. PS3 would probably be Call of Duty 4. And the PC would be Battlefield 2142, Counter Strike, Warrock, and Battlefield 2. Hope this helped. -Joe

A sidestep in a first person shooter video game is defined simply as to move sideways without turning. It is a key part of first person shooter games allowing one to move round corners easily.
