The Shoshone Indians played a variety of games that were both recreational and educational. Traditional games included stickball, which involved teams competing to score points by hitting a target with sticks, and various forms of gambling games that often used small objects like bones or stones. They also engaged in children's games that helped develop skills necessary for hunting and survival. Overall, these activities fostered community bonding and cultural traditions.
The Shoshones had a positive attitude towards the Lewis and Clark expedition as they were able to establish friendly relations and trade with them for much-needed supplies such as horses. The expedition also helped the Shoshones by assisting in resolving conflicts with rival tribes.
