Ethanol isn't "treated" with anhydrous. "Anhydrous" means "without water". Therefore, anhydrous ethanol simply means ethanol without any water molecules in it. It is normally 99.9% ethanol.
At this time all gas stations sell gas with ethanol in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, New York. The last small independent stations that sold 100% pure gasoline stopped selling it about November 15, 2010. However some gas station are charging .10, .15 and even .25 cents more for gas that they say does not contain ethanol -----BUT IT DOES. THE NON ETHANOL THAT WAS IN THEIR TANKS RAN OUT WEEKS AGO AND THEY UP THE PRICE AND SAID THEY DO NOT HAVE IT. I BOUGHT A OFFICIAL TEST KIT AND IT SHOW THEIR GAS DOES HAVE ETHANOL IN IT EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE CHARGING MORE AND SAYING IT DOES NOT CONTAIN ETHANOL. BE CAREFUL.
I just would like to purchase gas without ethanol in the Bronx
The best website that lists station by state then city that is user-maintained. I carry a ethanol tester with me, along with a small bottle of water and a cup to make it easy to accurately measure the ethanol. You can get a tester at the related link. Some stations can only get premium in ethanol-free, so, pay attention to the listings. Here in Saint George SC, two stations have zero Ethanol, the Citgo offers all grades, another station, Mystic, only offers zero Eth in 91 octane because the regular is pre-mixed (that's bad!) in Augusta and trucked 2 hours over to my little town. Please refer to the related link.
Due to state and federal government tax breaks it is almost impossible to find gas with out ethanol added. Your best bet would be to call your local stations, ask for a manager and ask them what the ethanol percentage is in their fuel. Now there is no station that I know of where you can buy gas without ethanol.
