The towing capacity of a 1998 Chevrolet C1500 Silverado with a 5.0-liter engine typically ranges from 5,000 to 6,000 pounds, depending on the specific configuration and equipment of the truck. Factors such as axle ratio, transmission type, and whether the truck is equipped with towing packages can influence this capacity. Always consult the owner's manual or a dealership for the most accurate information specific to your vehicle.
Depends on the engine and transmission
Depends on the engine and transmission
Depends on the differential gear ratio, engine size and transmission be it standard or automatic. A 4+2 S-10 with a 2.2L engine and a standard transmission should get 27-29 mpg highway. A 4+2 S-10 with a 4.3L engine and a automatic transmission would probably get 15-18 mpg highway. If the differential ratio is a 3.73 those numbers would drop.
3,because the gear ratio in a manual transmission results is a gear ratio of about 3:1 for first gear.
Engine code P0736 indicates a problem with the transmission, specifically that the transmission is experiencing an incorrect gear ratio in reverse. This can result from issues such as low transmission fluid, a faulty transmission control module, or mechanical problems within the transmission itself. When the vehicle attempts to engage reverse, the system detects that the actual gear ratio does not match the expected value, triggering this diagnostic trouble code. Addressing this issue typically requires a thorough inspection of the transmission and its components.
3.73 if you have a 350good engine and automatic transmission

It depends on the exact engine and transmission used.
Depends on the engine and transmission. It should be in the manual. Call the dealer with your Vin#. They should have it. Or it should be on the tag on the rear end cover held on by a bolt. It was on older cars. I am not sure on your though...Hope it helps..
By doing this the engine has a high ratio of working but, the transmission also has a high possibilty of not working so, my thoughts are to just change the engine not the transmission.
It would depend on the differential gear ratio and engine horse power/torque.
