salivary glands
Salivary glands produce a clear liquid which moistens food as it is being chewed. Without moisture the food is like chewing sand. The glands also produce an enzyme. Most people, but not all, produce an enzyme called salivary amylase which begins to break down starches/complex carbohydrates before they enter the stomach. A test to see if you have this enzyme is to hold a piece of bread or rice cake..in your mouth and see if you sense a sweeter taste. If you have salivary amylase, the starch will become sugar in your mouth.
These are called sweat glands.
These are called sweat glands.
The lacrimal glands are a pair of small glands located above the eye and towards the sides of the head. They produce the liquid tear film that covers the eyes

The salivary glands have two kinds of secretory cells - serous and mucous cells.Serous cells produce a watery fluid that includes the digestive enzyme salivary amylase. This splits starch and glycogen molecules into disaccharides.Mucous cells secrete a thick liquid called mucouswhich binds food particles and lubricates the food during swallowing.
Several glands are involved in producing semen. The testes create the sperm cells. The prostate gland creates most of the liquid in the semen. The cowper's glands also produce some of the liquid. The seminal vesicles hold the mixture until ejaculation.
The sweat glands make sweat, also known as perspiration.
The liquid is called saliva
The salivary glands secrete water, mucus and salivary amylase.
