glucosuria
Usually the term glucosuria is used to indicate glucose in the urine.
i have a blood glucose level of 116 is that high
First off, it is "Glucosuria" without an "e" in it. Came directly out of my medical assistant text book I'm currently reading. Second off, glucosuria is high concentration of glucose in the urine which occurs in people with diabetes mellitus. Hope this clarifies things. If anyone one would like to add on to this they are more then welcome to:)
The presence of 100 mg of glucose in urine can be considered elevated, as normal urine typically contains little to no glucose. Glucosuria, or glucose in urine, may indicate conditions such as diabetes mellitus, where blood glucose levels are high enough to exceed the kidney's reabsorption capacity. If glucose is detected in urine, it is advisable to consult a healthcare professional for further evaluation.
Glucose is typically reabsorbed by the kidneys and does not appear in urine under normal circumstances. However, if blood glucose levels are too high (hyperglycemia), the kidneys may not be able to reabsorb all the glucose, leading to its presence in the urine (glucosuria). This can be a sign of conditions like diabetes.

"Yes, an insluin pump covers a high glucose level or food that you have eaten." An insulin pump covers your high glucose level after you've eaten certain foods that would make it rise.
you have high blood sugar... get that checked
When blood glucose levels are high in a diabetic person, the kidneys may not be able to reabsorb all the glucose, leading to glucose spilling into the urine (glucosuria). Glucose carriers, such as SGLT2 in the kidney tubules, may become saturated, causing excess glucose to be excreted in the urine. This can be an indication of uncontrolled diabetes and a mechanism for reducing high blood glucose levels.
