The Aztecs believe in over 70 gods for different aspects in a human's life. They sacrificed People to please the gods.

The Aztecs had over 100 gods, however only some were the main Gods. They believed in Ometeotl(roughly translated as Dual Energy) which is cosmic energy and each form of this cosmic energy had different manifestations as in Tlalok for rain so each aspect of life had a different manifestation of Ometeotl not gods like these archaeologist are claiming each Ometeotl manifestation is.
