Good traits a child may see in their father and mother:

1. Honesty
2. Loyalty
3. Not afraid to stand up for what is right when many others may put you down. Stick to what is right!
4. Capable of saying 'I am wrong.'
5. Knowledge is everything and try to learn something each day even if it is just a new word from the dictionary.
6. Learn from others and their opinions.
7. Agree to disagree.
8. Surround yourself with family and friends.
9. Know that you are not perfect (neither are your parents or friends) and will make mistakes, but it is learning from those mistakes that makes you a better person.
10. Quality of time with family and friends is more precious than any gift a person can give you.
11. Believing in God (or whatever faith a person wants to believe in.) Faith takes you through many difficult times and a strength you can rely on for the rest of your life and you will never feel alone.
12. When dealing with angry people realize that they may have problems in their lives and a smile with a caring tone can heal many wounds.
13. Always have respect for yourself and realize even though you do some people may not give you the respect you deserve.
14. Realize that not everyone is going to like you and they have that right and it is not necessary to try to win them over if you know in your heart you have good qualities regarding your personality.
15. Taking time out for the elderly and listening to their stories; play with children and enjoy their innocence.
16. Do not look back on youth yearning when you get older, but to remember the good times that produce laughter and enjoy the fact you experienced some good things in your youth and look forward to the future as you age because old age is only a number and not a reason to give up on life.

21. If you are looked upon as beautiful; pretty or attractive learn not to ride through that throughout your life because beauty soon fades and all one is left with is their personality which they have enriched hopefully through their life.

23. With each person you come in contact with throughout your life (good or bad) they leave an imprint and you also leave an imprint on their lives. If the imprint is good learn from them; if bad this lets you know what you do not want your life to be like.
