Well, i would recommend that one tries to get a grade above C grade. In the college that i am currently going to, we were required to at least get a B grade at GCSE - either in additional science or seperate. Also, your maths grade is important, i would recommend at least a B grade in maths because A level Biology and Chemistry is quite challenging. However, i do hope that you don't get put off doing such subjects! Just keep trying and i am sure you will do just fine:)
A good science project, no matter for what level needs a structure. You need to make it clear the thing your investigating, and your previous thoughts on it. This is your hypothesis. Then you need to design and build your equipment for the experiment, and carry out control tests. And ensure that you have appropiate data which is relevant to the testing of the hypothesis. Then you must and analyse and interpret this data. Try and draw up graphs, or just make comparisons and obseravtions. Then as you interpret it try and put your own slant on it. Attempt to explain it with your own ideas and words. Then have straighforward and short conclusions, make sure you have either proved the hypothesis correct or not. Finally, put a slant on your project. Making it different from the cliche volcano project will attract far more attention to it. Try and solve everyday problems in a creative way, or just investigate a scientific principle in a way orgionally thought of by yourself. Whatever you do - dont copy an idea. Its immoral science. Glad to help.
