You should make sure that you have done well in all of your classes, particularly English, science and math, so that you can choose college without weaknesses in any area. To do this, having at least a B average means that you have understood the basics of each subject. Below that, you have possibly missed the main ideas or have another problem of not following through on what is expected (ie turning in classwork, attending to the class activities). Both will trip you up on your way to college.
You need atleast five A*-C GCSE grades You deffinatly need a C or above in English language, Maths + Science. And I think for science you need atleast two GCSEs or more. I say GCSEs meaning A*-C grades.

My high school had a policy that all college credits counted double toward highschool graduation, plus a grade bump. So, getting a B in 1 year of college language classes got me two years of highschool credit and a 4.0 for that class. having extra credit points in high school right before graduation can improve your chance at getting into a good college so keep up the good work and stay in school.
If your going to go to a college for training the best way to find out what type of grades is too see what the requirements are at the college you wish to attended. As colleges have an average around 70 and up depending on the school.
You will need to attend and play basketball at a high school (grades 9-12) and then at least one year at a NCAA D1 college. (A lower level college could be attended but it would lessen your chances of joining the NBA)

If you're looking for a more prestigious restaurant, expect around 2 to 4 years of college. The restaurant might also have extra requirements in their applications, such as outstanding grades or you must have been pro efficient in a certain high school or college class.
