Add the wood stain to the linseed oil until you have reached the desired color for your new door. Be sure to test the stain on the same kind of wood as the door so you will know the true color once you apply it to the door.
The letters in the two words "new door" can be rearranged to make the two words "one word," which makes 'new door' into 'one word.'
The crack in the wood is due to the wood drying out. Go to the hardware store and buy a small tin of woodfiller. Apply the woodfiller into the crack. Depending on the width of the crack, you may have to do two or three applications. Always wait for 24 hours between applications because the woodfill will also shrink as it dries. Once the woodfill dries on the final application, and no more shrinking is visible, use a fine grade sandpaper and carefully sand the woodfill repair so that it is as smooth as the surrounding wood. Finally, go to the hardware store and buy a colour pencil that matches the colour of the wood. Apply the pencil to the repaired area. Bingo! Good as new.
When you rearrange the letters: new door = one word
Home interior doors are made as a wood frame with a 'skin' glued to each side. These can be removed and new skins glued on, but it's not easy.

No if you get new wood you do not have to wait to paint it
Usually a new set of hinge pins and bushings bring the door back to alignment. If something got bent you basically have to re-bend it. I've seen it done with blocks of wood and a floor jack.
To change the wood in your design you can go to the store where you got the design. Or you can get a new design entirely that will complement the new wood better.
