earthquake ( sorry tats the only one i can think of )
In Pokémon Diamond, Torterra is capable of learning Tackle, Withdraw, Absorb, Razor Leaf, Wood Hammer, Bite, Razor Leaf, Curse and Mega Drain otherwise those moves require the use of Heart Scales for Torterra to know them. Torterra learns Earthquake at Level 32, Leech Seed at Level 33, Synthesis at Level 39, Crunch at Level 45, Giga Drain at Level 51 and Leaf Storm at Level 57.
Earthquake rockslide stone edge
If you have a TM. The only ground type moves it can learn is earthquake and magnitude.
If you have a heart scale, go to a guy in Pastoria City and he will let any Pokemon learn any forgotten moves.
Torterra learns Wood Hammer, but you'd need to go to the guy who makes your Pokemon remember its moves with a Heart Scale.
The best is earthquake by TM
my torterra knows:giga drain frensy plant hyper beam and stone edge torterra can also learn the moves leaf storm rock climb and rock smash

You could try the team I've got, Blaziken, Tyranitar, Lugia, red Gyarados, Torterra and Pikachu. Pretty much covers all the types you need to beat since Blaziken can learn Fire/Fighting, Tyranitar = Dark/Ground, Lugia = Flying/Psychic/Water, Gyarados = Water/Ice/Dragon, Torterra = Grass/Ground/Rock and Pikachu's electric moves and its Iron Tail.
Torterra is good against ground type Pokemon so it's meant to be easy. Teach it grass knot as ground Pokemon are heavy and it'll be effective. My Roserade has it and it defeats a ground Pokemon in one shot! dude [or dudette] you should have taught earthquake and leaf storm!
The Torterra moves are: tackle, withdraw, absorb, razor leaf, wood hammer, curse, bite, mega drain, earthquake, leech seed, synthesis, crunch, giga drain, leaf storm, and frenzy plant. Torterra learns all these moves by level 80. (frenzy plant is learned from some guy in a house near the resort area, and the fight area).
vaccum wave from move tutor, brick break and rock smash TM and hm and can learn coounter by breeding but cant learn rock or ground moves
Torterra is capable of learning Earthquake at Level 32, at 33 it learns Leech Seed, 39 it learns SYnthesis, 45 it learns Crunch, 51 it learns Giga Drain and at Level 57 it learns Leaf Storm. It can also learn Frenzy Plant. If you go to Route 25 and look around you will find a man that will teach it to torterra for free.
infernape because fire types are stronger then grass types use that as an advantage. It's true that fire has the advantage but Torterra has a ground dual type and extremely high defense stats so Torterra could survive a hit from Infernape's fire attack and then hit with a ground type attack and Infernape would be down with a one-hit KO since fire and fighting dual types take x2 damage from ground moves. -BoltdenDragoonI reckon Torterra is better then Infernape because Torterra is of two types; Grass and Ground (ground beats Fire) Whilst Infernape is of only one type; Fire. Though having two different types in one Pokemon seems cool, there are more types that are super effective to that one Pokemon. But that's not really the point. See, Ground beats Fire, whilst Fire beats Grass, but Ground is more powerful then Fire, and Torterra has a very high defense stat. So Torterra is better then Infernape. (that's my opinion though)-PokeFan Boo (visit this website in a few days to help you with Pokemon Diamond and Pearl,http://pokemondiamondandpearladvice.webs.com/)

If you are knowledgeable about stats, think about the speed of your Pokemon. A key strategy is to balance the types, stats, and powers of your team. One Pokemon may be weak to a specific type, so you must have a move that can counter it. It depends on the trainer. Torterra - slow, but teach it Rock Polish to speed it up. Teach it some Ground- and Grass-type moves for Fire- and Water- types. Jolteon/Electivire - same powers, but Electivire can learn Ice Punch and Brick Break to counter dual Rock-Ground types. Octillery/Milotic - Milotic can also be used in contests, can learn a handful of powerful Water moves, Dragon pulse; Octillery can learn Gunk Shot, Signal beam, Flamethrower(for Grass and Psychic types) Altaria/Togekiss - Altaria are Dragon-Flying types,Dragon moves and Solarbeam for Rock-types, Flamethrower for Ice-types and Sky attack; Togekiss with Aura sphere and Sky attack, also some Fighting-type moves Lucario - Aura sphere, Steel-type moves, Dragon pulse and Ground-type moves, resistant to Psychic-type moves Drapion/Spiritomb - Drapion isn't affected by psychic moves, can learn Ice Fang and Aqua tail to counter Ground-types; Spiritomb has NO weakness, can learn some elemental attacks, Dark Pulse, Ghost-type moves, Hypnosis and Dream Eater combination.
